Job opportunity at 50業子:

50業子 is the #1 most-visited study choice website focusing on Europe. In 2025, we’re helping more than 2 million students from around the world find the right university and study programme in Europe.

Our mission is to help international students with the first big decision of their lives. To help us grow further - and reach even more students - we want you to join us as a

Data Management Intern

...from August 2025! As part of our growing international team, you will handle a range of exciting activities revolving around existing and new projects.

The internship should last for up to 3 months, with a flexible start in August and (important) an end on 17 October 2025 or later. The internship will be in Cologne/Köln, Germany, with a hybrid (mostly remote) setup.

ゥ These will be your key responsibilities:

Working as an integral part of our team,

  • you will help us identify data sources and...
  • ...analyse their structures and retrieve and prepare the data for publication in our database.
  • You will learn about scraping with e.g. CSS selectors, XPath, and where necessary also develop scripts for a Python/Selenium setup.
  • You will get first-hand insight into complex data processing.

We will teach you all you need but you will also get to work independently on small projects of your own. And because we are a small company, you can also get a look at other areas like web analytics, product development or marketing.

If this describes you, we’re off to a great start:

  • You’re a student of Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar, and excited about helping students from around the world find the right university in Europe.
  • You have prior programming and development experience. Knowledge of CSS and Python is a big plus.
  • You speak English fluently. (German is not required!)
  • You know your way around Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software like Google Sheets or LibreOffice Calc.
  • You’re a self-starter who’s comfortable planning and executing your own work.
  • You are enrolled at a university in Europe and eligible to participate in an Erasmus+ internship.

Here’s what we offer:

  • You’ll gain work experience in a truly international company with flat hierarchies. Your achievements will have a measurable impact on our success.
  • We’ll not just give you simple tasks but instead teach and enable you to work on exciting projects with your own creative input.
  • Last, but certainly not least: As part of our team, your work will make a difference to the millions of students around the world seeking an education in Europe.

This sounds like a great fit?

Then we’re looking forward to hearing from you! We’re especially eager to hear on what kinds of projects you may already have worked with scraping and formatting large datasets.
