Chemistry and Biotechnology (CBT) is an interdisciplinary field that merges the scientific principles of chemistry and biology to address real-world challenges. This program emphasizes the study of the composition, structure, behavior, and transformations of elements, compounds, molecules, and ions, and their applications in biotechnology. Students learn to utilize biocatalysts and biomolecules to promote sustainability, incorporating principles of biorefining and the circular economy.
The curriculum covers modules in organic, inorganic, analytical, and physical chemistry, along with essential mathematics, engineering, and industrial practices.
