At the University of Pécs, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Italian Language and Literature can be studied as an independent course of study.
Graduates will develop specific knowledge and skills through theory and practice, paving the way for successful careers in the field of Italian language and culture. This includes the development of various basic skills, educational research, international development, and special educational needs.
In addition to in-depth study of the aforementioned fields, special attention is paid to interdisciplinarity. Furthermore, the program provides candidates with the opportunity to access fields of study and work ranging from tourism to the various levels and modalities of mass media, information, and communication, as well as to navigate the cultural heritage and the vast universe of Italian culture throughout the world.

Pedagogical methods focus on student competencies and promote accurate, attentive, and practical communication, thus improving both reasoning and collaboration skills as well as adaptability.
Given that the University of Pécs has excellent relationships with leading universities across Europe, to undertake research, develop, and innovate systems in the field of Italian language and literature, enrolled students will be offered the opportunity to participate in various international courses organized by the EU. These courses develop practical skills and specific knowledge alongside students from other universities, thus interactively sharing the fundamentals and perspectives of Italian culture, language, and literature with other international students and initiating continuing education in the countries participating in the program.
