Applied Chemistry bachelor’s study programme is designed to bridge the gap between fundamental chemistry science and industrial application while providing students with a holistic understanding of how chemical theories translate into innovations.

Programme structure:

Applied Chemistry study programme at KTU integrates theoretical knowledge, laboratory experiments, and practical problem-solving. This programme provides students with:

• problem-solving in design and synthesis of new materials, and adaptability in multidisciplinary environments;
• basics of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and process engineering;
• specialised programs and databases, including Accelrys Draw, ACD, Chemsketch, Marwin Sketch, Mestrenova, and Sci-Finder;
• hands-on experience in the product development projects and internships focused on applying skills gained during studies for real-world industrial challenges.
