Mechatronics responds to the growing demand from industry for engineers who can combine mechanics, electronics, automation and IT to innovate in robotics and smart systems, thereby driving Industry 4.0.
The Mechatronics Bachelor’s programme has been awarded the Investors’ Spotlight quality label and prepares students to design, analyse, and operate automated systems in the advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and biomedical sectors. Studies take place in state-of-the-art virtual and physical laboratories equipped with Festo production lines, ABB robots, CNC machines, and 3D printers.
The programme also supports international mobility and industry partnerships. Graduates can pursue careers in automation engineering, robotics design, and control systems, or pursue postgraduate studies in engineering and technology.
The programme integrates mechanics, electronics, automation, and control systems to prepare students for creating smart and robotic technologies. Students develop the following competencies:
As an alternative, students can choose the Product Development project in the 6th semester.
The programme gives graduates interdisciplinary knowledge in mechanics, electronics, automation, and control systems, enabling them to design and implement advanced technological solutions. They are prepared for roles in high-tech companies and can pursue further academic studies or R&D careers and can work as:
