As Industry 4.0/5.0 continues to transform the high-tech sector, there is an increasing need for engineers with a versatile skillset in integrated mechatronics.
The Mechatronics Master’s programme provides the interdisciplinary research skills needed for a successful career in computational design, smart manufacturing, and the testing of advanced equipment for automated production, transport, aerospace, and biomedical applications. A wide range of optional modules enables students to develop transferable skills or specialise in areas such as composite structures, micro-mechatronics, virtual prototyping, automation and dynamics.
The programme facilitates international exchanges and research partnerships and provides hands-on experience with a variety of CAD/CAE/CAM software and hardware, including industrial robots, 3D scanners, 3D printers, and precision instruments. Graduates are prepared for R&D engineering roles in companies that develop high-value products, or they can pursue innovative PhD research.
The programme covers automation, robotics, advanced structures, virtual and physical prototyping. Students gain:
The MA+ Interdisciplinary Expert track is available to broaden the students’ mechatronics skillset with wide-ranging transferable competences.
Graduates can pursue careers in simulation-based design and optimisation, prototyping and testing, or implementation and diagnostics of advanced mechatronic and robotic systems. Possible job positions include:
