Description:

In this Master’s programme in Information Sciences you will learn about the way in which IT impacts organisations, from both a technical and managerial perspective. You will become an expert in explaining how organisations are able to deal with security and privacy issues.

Information Sciences: Something for you?

  • The programme provides you with a unique combination of technological and organisational expertise.
  • You will be taught by experts from both Nijmegen School of Management and the Institute for Computing and Information Sciences (iCIS).
  • Our student-run company GipHouse gives you practical experience in management, design and implementation of ICT solutions.
  • The programme is best in its field and holds the bronze medal according to Elsevier's Best Studies 2022.

What will you learn?

The curriculum of this Master's programme has been developed in close collaboration with the Nijmegen School of Management. The programme will teach you to become a digital architect who can look beyond mere technical sides to ICT adoption in designing competitive business solutions.

In addition to developing a strong basis in systems approaches to information and management, students will specialise either as a Security or privacy officer, or in Alignment and IT.

After your studies:

There is a big demand for highly trained information experts who can bridge the gap between the builders and the users of IT to ensure good, user-friendly technology that meets an organisation's needs. Many of our students are offered jobs even before they graduate. Most go into industry, banking and insurance, or public-sector organisations such as schools and hospitals.

Possible occupations:

  • Chief Information Officer
  • Consultant
  • Project manager
  • ICT specialist
