A certified food safety and quality engineer is skilled in the fields of production, technology, planning of operations, management of economic processes, development of products, quality assurance, tender-writing, and is capable of undertaking management tasks while taking into account technical and economic aspects.
Food safety and quality engineers are involved in the development of innovative applications in agricultural technology, biotechnology and processing of raw food materials to produce healthy food products.
Between the 2nd and the 3nd semester there is a vocational practice (4 weeks) at multinational, local company or laboratory of food.
Applicants are required to file their applications via Dream Apply.
After registration and paying the application fee, if qualified , they are invited to an entrance exam, it may be taken personally in Szeged or via Google Meet and consists of an oral interview about food safety management systems, the production of bread/cheese or other food product, proteins and enzymes, preservation methods, food poisoning.
The applicant could be ranking about the score of entrance exam (maximum: 100 points, minimum limit: 60 points). If accepted, they are sent a letter of admission.
